Mr. Awad Mohammed Faraj Bamkhalif, is a Post Graduate in Accounting and Finance from Egypt and UK, and has with him over 35 years of experience in Finance and Investment field.
Mr. Awad is currently serving the Board of Global Financial Investments Holding Co. as an Independent Director.
He served on Majan Capital Fund Investors’ Committee on behalf of Oman & Emirates Investment Holding Co. SAOG, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for over 20 years until his retirement from the company in August 2019.
Mr. Awad served as a board member and a member of the Audit & Risk Management Committee in United Finance Company.
Mr. Awad also held directorship in Financial Corporation Co. SAOG (FINCORP), Oman Hotels & Tourism Company SAOG, Oman Fiber Optic Co. SAOG. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Board in Oman Hotels & Tourism Company SAOG.
Before his tenure with Oman & Emirates Investment Holding Co. SAOG, Mr. Awad was the General Manager of Oman Aviation Services Co. SAOG / Oman Air and, prior to that, he was holding the position of Deputy Financial Controller of Port Services Corporation, Sultanate of Oman.
Mr. Awad has been the Proprietor of Oman Audit Bureau for over 25 years, which merged with a reputed International Firm, viz., Baker Tilly International in 2010 and currently known in Oman as Baker Tilly MKM (Oman) LLC., where he was the Executive Resident Partner, until his exit from the business in September 2022. He is continuing his interest in financial services by representing the NEXIA network through the newly launched NEXIA AMB in Oman as its senior partner.
After his retirement in August 2019 from OEIHC, he is fully focused on adding value to the activities of Nexia AMB and SAMCO Group.
